About The Position

The Cosmetic Beauty Sales Rep is responsible for in-house marketing, promotion, and sales of cosmetic products. The role requires learning detailed histories of the products and companies and communicating this information to customers as part of product promotion. Using a broad promotional concept, the representative applies creativity to set up and design displays in specified locations. Considerable point-of-sale interaction with customers is expected, along with the ability to positively impact sales volume for assigned products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High energy and comfort approaching and speaking with store customers.
• Enjoyment of persuading people in a positive way.
• Strong selling skills.
• Goal-oriented.
• Fun and outgoing personality.
• Ability to do basic beauty makeup.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a presence on the selling floor for extended periods as needed.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
• Physical ability to see and distinguish colors, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., travel, climb, push and pull, stand, and listen.

Nice To Haves

• One year of makeup sales or makeup artist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positively impact sales volume through in-house marketing and point-of-sale involvement.
• Greet customers enthusiastically, determine their needs, provide courteous and knowledgeable service, and suggest products using the company’s service and selling strategies.
• Maintain cosmetic-line merchandising concepts and store standards for cleanliness and organization, including gondolas, visual displays, product assortment, and drawers.
• Participate in the cosmetic line’s day-to-day business, animations, and in-store events.
• Pursue additional product knowledge and artistry techniques as needed.
• Participate in store meetings and training seminars as necessary.
• Attract new clients and engage them quickly.
• Create an amazing experience for clients through high-touch service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
