About The Position

International Paper is seeking a Corrugator Supervisor for their 2nd shift operations in Wooster, OH. This role involves direct supervision of hourly employees, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and engagement to meet production goals. The supervisor will be responsible for training, planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, and resolving conflicts within their assigned shift. A key aspect of the role is to lead and motivate employees by example, fostering an efficient, effective, and safe work environment that produces a quality product. Strong communication skills are essential for relaying operational information to crew members, other supervisors, plant management, and external stakeholders. The supervisor will also actively promote and ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and other relevant programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Corrugated industry experience is required.
  • Two years of manufacturing experience is required.
  • Must have corrugator experience - operational skills/knowledge
  • Leadership skills are important - engaged, respectful, active on the floor

  • Will be comfortable communicating across shifts/departments and with management as well.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees.
  • Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
  • Other duties as required.
