About The Position

The Stacker Operator sets up and operates machinery to stack corrugated paperboard material for containers. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. The role involves working on a rotating shift, with the potential for overtime and weekend work as needed by the business. It requires effective teamwork, the ability to work in a production environment with moving equipment, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Check length, width and scoring measurements at every order change
  • Ensure that sesame, open faced sesame and tear tape measurements are in the required positions
  • Continuously check quality of board (warp, bond, liner dents, scratches, etc.)
  • Restack when needed
  • Help T-Car I Operator tag stacks and push sheets for storage when time allows
  • Clean hot plates when applicable
  • Help at wet end to get ready for operation when needed
  • Inform Knifeman when to trim operator or drive side edge and when to sharpen slitter blades if needed
  • Pull out dry spots when down, and bottom liner, medium and top liner splices as they are called out
  • Make caliper checks from operator, middle and drives sides, and length check from top and bottom
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
