About The Position

This role is for a Corrugator Stacker Operator on the 2nd and 3rd shift. The operator will be part of the production crew, focusing on preparing the machine for production runs according to customer orders. Responsibilities include preparing stencils for product identification, daily machine cleaning and oiling, ordering pallets, and ensuring pallets are available for finished products. The operator will also assist with running orders by monitoring for smooth operation and promptly reporting any issues such as machine failure, quality problems, or paper shortages to the operator. Collaboration with management, maintenance, and other employees may be required to resolve problems. The role involves palletizing products according to shop cards or shipping requirements and may occasionally involve feeding the machine. Adherence to ISO procedures and following the operator's directions are essential. The operator will work with various production machines and basic tools like hammers and knives.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
  • Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the machine for the production run, according to the customer order.
  • Prepares the stencil that stamps the product with identification.
  • Cleans and oils the machine daily.
  • Orders pallets from the Forklift Driver, according to the need expressed on the schedule.
  • Responsible for having pallets at the machine for the finished products.
  • Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem.
  • Notifies the operator of problems such as machine failure, product quality not to standard, or a shortage of paper.
  • May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
  • Palletizes the product according to the shop card and/or in a manner suitable for shipping.
  • May be required to feed the machine on occasion.
  • Responsible for adhering to the ISO procedures and taking direction from the operator.
  • Works with various production machines and basic tools such as hammer and knife.
