About The Position

This is a summer help position focused on operating a corrugator stacker as part of the production crew. The role involves ensuring the smooth production of corrugated sheets, performing quality checks, preparing orders for shipping, and assisting with machine operations. The individual will monitor the production run, identify and report any issues such as machine malfunctions, quality deviations, or material shortages to the operator, and may collaborate with management and maintenance to resolve problems. This position has the potential for full-time employment.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measurer to 1/16th of an inch.
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• 1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of the production crew with a focus on the production run of corrugated sheets.
• Responsible for quality checks, padding order for shipping and other duties as assigned.
• Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem.
• Notifies the operator of any problems, such as machine failure, product quality not to standard, or a shortage of paper.
• May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
