About The Position

The Corrugator - Slitter/Knife Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process. This position ensures that the slitting and cutting operations are performed accurately to meet production specifications and quality standards. The operator is responsible for monitoring machine performance, making necessary adjustments, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient workflow. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent defects and ensure the safety of all personnel. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating slitter or knife machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders, blueprints, or technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with team members and supervisors to coordinate production activities and report issues.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in corrugated board or packaging manufacturing.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to manufacturing equipment.
• Basic computer skills for logging production data and communicating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor slitter and knife machinery to cut corrugated board according to job specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed to maintain standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with production team members to coordinate workflow and meet daily production targets.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize production delays.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
