About The Position

The Corrugator Service Trucker is responsible for operating lift trucks safely and effectively. This role involves learning product line assignments, understanding strapping patterns, and ensuring loads are properly strapped with dunnage according to instructions and customer-specific requests. Responsibilities include loading strapping onto machines, cleaning heads, monitoring loads for box issues, and reporting problems to a supervisor. The role also requires sweeping trailers and floor areas, completing daily safety checklists, changing propane tanks, checking lift truck fluids and air filters, monitoring the take-off line, and loading material onto designated trucks with record keeping. Additionally, the Corrugator Service Trucker will transport product from the take-off line to warehouse areas, load warehoused product to the loading dock, receive incoming product, sign for receipts, and transport to different departments, ensuring all proper paperwork is submitted to the shipping office. This position involves rotation between the strapper position, take-off line lift truck, and floor driver lift truck operations.

  • Operate lift trucks in a safe and effective manner.
  • Learn which line to send product through.
  • Possess knowledge of strapping patterns.
  • Assure loads are strapped with proper dunnage according to instructions and customer-specific requests.
  • Load strapping onto machine.
  • Clean heads.
  • Know strap patterns.
  • Know the number of straps per unit.
  • Monitor loads for any box problems.
  • Notify supervisor of any problems.
  • Sweep trailers and floor areas.
  • Complete a daily safety check list.
  • Change propane tanks.
  • Check the fluids and air filters on their lift truck.
  • Monitor the take off line following strapping processes.
  • Load material onto designated trucks (requiring record of load tallies).
  • Transport product from the take-off line to appropriate areas of the warehouse.
  • Load warehoused product from the warehouse to the loading dock.
  • Receive product from incoming trucks, sign for the receipt of it, and transport to different departments.
  • Turn in proper paperwork to the shipping office.
  • Rotate amongst the strapper position, take-off line lift truck, and floor driver lift truck operation procedures.
