About The Position

The primary function of this position is to set knife and score heads on the slitter, feed sheets, stack finished sheets, document production and check the board for order accuracy and quality as it is runs. This role involves reviewing the work schedule, checking equipment and supplies, preparing for shift operations, and completing safety checks. The employee will take corrugated at the start of each new order and measure it for accuracy, periodically checking the board during production to ensure it meets specifications and plant standards. The position also requires assisting the Corrugator crew and other employees as needed, cleaning and securing equipment, completing paperwork, and performing other work as required. Additionally, the role includes inspecting and maintaining product quality, using a hand truck to organize the work area and move materials, meeting all company safety policies, reporting maintenance concerns, and meeting quality and efficiency standards. Special projects and assignments may also be required. The employee is responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies.

Requirements

  • Machine operator experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work assignments
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints a plus

Responsibilities

  • Complete safety check of equipment
  • Take corrugated at the start of each new order and measure it for accuracy against the layout
  • Periodically check the board as it is being run to make sure it continues to meet specifications and plant standards
  • Assist Corrugator crew and other employees as needed
  • During shift and at end of shift, clean and/or secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork
  • Perform other work as required
  • Inspect and maintain quality of product
  • Using a hand truck to organize work area and/or move materials
  • Meet all company safety policies, and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines
  • Meet all quality and efficiency standards
  • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.
