About The Position

As a Corrosion Technician III, you will develop core skills and knowledge to conduct electrical surveys, perform atmospheric corrosion inspections, and electrical isolation tests. Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot natural gas pipeline facilities, including cathodic protection systems, corrosion control methods, and pipeline integrity technologies. Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned facilities. Conduct electrical surveys, atmospheric corrosion inspections, and electrical isolation testing. Maintain and monitor cathodic protection equipment and related systems. Identify pipeline components (pipe, valves, fittings) and assess system conditions using measurement tools. Collaborate with internal teams and contractors while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., PHMSA, EPA) through adherence to SOPs and O&M manuals.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of directly relevant training and experience.
  • Is a certified tradesperson or certified technical designation.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Reside within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
  • Can perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
  • Are able and willing to work overtime, on weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
