About The Position

Develops and maintains a high quality and profitable external network of correspondent originators for purchase of loans in an assigned area. Services the correspondent lender accounts through the introduction and training of new loan programs, while coordinating underwriting, commitments, closings, and funding of loans submitted for purchase. Gathers market specific information; attends correspondent functions and trade shows. Develops and enforces quality control measures and assures that the requirements and procedures of the division have been met by the loan origination source. Incumbents are customarily and regularly engaged in making and soliciting sales and conducting sales-related activities away from U.S. Bancorp locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of experience in mortgage sales
  • Three or more years of lending experience
  • Ability to travel

  • Extensive knowledge of business development techniques, sales development and planning
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully sell service-based products, creating awareness, interest, and demand of services to meet production goals
  • Working knowledge of whole loan purchase requirements and procedures from approval of correspondent sellers through the underwriting, funding, and delivery of loans submitted for purchase
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
