About The Position

This position is for a Corrector (CUPE) for the course POL3182, Section A00, titled 'Indigenous Political Theory'. The course examines the theories and logics guiding political discourses and actions of Indigenous peoples in Canada and beyond, including topics such as critique of colonialism, Indigenous critical theory, identity politics, traditional ecological knowledges, nationalism, resistance and resurgence, and decolonization. The primary nature of the work involves marking papers and exams, with the student required to meet deadlines set by the supervisor. The teaching method will be delivered in person, requiring some work to be done on campus. Requirements

  • Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
  • Students must be available to travel to the University of Ottawa campus in Ottawa at the request of their supervisor and/or the School.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student eligible for the position.
