About The Position
This position is for a Corrector for the course CSI2372A, Advanced Programming Concepts with C++, during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves grading and potentially other tasks as negotiated with the supervising professor. The total expected work hours are 130. The hourly rate is $30.53 for undergraduate students and $36.63 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates, excluding vacation and statutory pay). The number of positions and hours offered are subject to final course enrollment.
Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better.
- Attend a TA workshop if necessary.
- Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
- Excellent knowledge of modern C++ 2011, 2014 and 2017, the Standard Template Library and basic familiarity with Java.
- Candidates must have substantial coding experience beyond their course work and must be familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
