Requirements
- Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain boilers, chillers, and cooling towers during routine and emergency conditions
- Operate and service pumps, fans, and control systems to ensure proper function
- Test boiler water chemistry and track chemical inventories and logs
- Oversee inmate workers and ensure safety, tool control, and compliance with regulations
- Complete required paperwork, inventories, and communications with supervisors
- Clean assigned areas and maintain a safe work environment
