You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a correctional facility environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, deliveries, and visitor movement in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
