Under general supervision, the Corrections Officer ensures the safety, security, and orderly operation of the inmates and daily routines in the Scott County Jail. This role involves monitoring inmate activities, supervising inmate actions using direct supervision techniques, maintaining logs of daily activities and incidents, and responding to emergencies. The officer must also exemplify the County PRIDE philosophy and perform related duties as assigned. Special assignments may include Field Training Officer, Corrections Emergency Response Team, Hospital Duty, or Transport Officer.
