About The Position

As a Corrections Facility Security Officer - Badge Control in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with established post orders and facility procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate facility personnel and emergency responders as required.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and authorized site contacts.
