About The Position

This position oversees maintenance operations that support the safe and efficient functioning of SCI Laurel Highlands. As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1, you will perform the following duties: Staff Supervision: Manage, guide, and evaluate the work of maintenance staff. Project Oversight: Coordinate maintenance, repair, and renovation work across the facility. Safety Compliance: Inspect work to ensure adherence to safety rules and technical standards. Inventory Control: Maintain supplies and equipment needed for facility projects. Contractor Monitoring: Review contractor work to verify compliance with project specifications. Administrative Tasks: Prepare documents, review policies, and support hiring and training activities.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor with a specialty in one of the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry; or Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
