Correctional Trades Leader
About The Position
The Anamosa State Penitentiary is looking for an HVAC trades leader to add to their maintenance team. This position will perform advanced journey level work and lead incarcerated individuals in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment at a 150-year-old correctional facility that houses approximately 1,000 incarcerated individuals and 300 staff. Requirements
- Four years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following building trades: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, masonry, or concrete.
- Six months of experience, 12 semester hours, or a combination of both in Air Conditioning (Heating/Refrigeration) including testing/repairing parts, installing units, communicating to customers repair issues; teaching others how to test, repair, install units, and communicate issues to customers.
- Must obtain a license to perform electrical work in accordance with Chapter 103, Iowa Code (if required by appointing authority).
- Must obtain the required commercial driver's license and endorsements (if required by appointing authority).

- Preferred experience is to be in HVAC.
