About The Position

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is actively recruiting experienced and dedicated professionals to serve as Correctional Sergeants. These positions are located in facilities across the state and provide a competitive salary range and excellent benefits for qualified applicants. This is a full-time position that includes supervising a small unit of correctional officers or performing highly responsible duties in a specialized area of Corrections.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Two years of correctional work in the security of inmates at the level of Correctional Officer or higher
Must be certified by the Alabama Peace Officer's Standards and Training Commission in order to obtain permanent status in this classification.
