About The Position

CoreCivic is hiring a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates or residents in a secure correctional facility. The role involves supervising individuals in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments, and throughout other facility activities. The officer may need to use weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Officers may be assigned to a variety of posts, including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, and visitation. The position requires availability for any hours and shifts. CoreCivic provides paid training and, where applicable, covers the cost of state-required non-commissioned security officer licensing. Veterans are encouraged to apply, and military service may qualify toward positions requiring criminal justice experience.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to complete required training.
Availability to work any hours and any shift.
At least 21 years of age.
Where applicable, obtain a non-commissioned security officer license in the state of employment; CoreCivic pays the cost.
