A Correctional Maintenance Officer I Grounds Supervision is the entry level of work involving the custody, security and supervision of adult inmates in maintenance and repair work in a correctional environment. Employees in this classification do not supervise other positions. The main purpose of a Correctional Maintenance Officer Grounds Supervision position is the landscaping, cultivation, and structural upkeep of the facility's outdoor areas, the instruction and supervision of incarcerated individuals assigned to the grounds crew, and the maintenance of perimeter custody and security.
