About The Position

As a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative with the Department of Corrections (DOC), you take on a fast-moving role that brings correctional industry products to new audiences across the state. You meet customers, identify their needs, and introduce products that spark interest and build new business. You represent Correctional Industries at events, presentations, and on-site visits that highlight the value of these services. This position promotes correctional industry products, supports customer relationships, and assists with sales and marketing activities across an assigned territory.

Requirements

• One year of professional sales experience in a manufacturing or service oriented production operation, and a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or a closely related area; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish contacts with officials, agencies, schools, and local entities to promote prison-made products and services
• Conduct presentations, gather customer needs, and discuss future product demands
• Attend conferences and distribute catalogs, samples, brochures, and other product information
• Prepare reports, maintain customer records, and submit activity updates to the central office
• Visit shops to stay familiar with product lines and act as liaison between customers and facilities
• Respond to inquiries, prepare price quotes, and assist in developing marketing efforts for new and existing products and services
