Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government corrections location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, housing areas, entry points, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor movement through designated areas, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and support established post orders for visitors, staff, and authorized personnel.
  • Assist with routine operational activities at the location, including maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site contacts, and completing required logs and reports related to daily security-related duties.
