About The Position

ATTIC Correctional Services is recruiting multiple part-time Transport and Monitoring Specialists to provide community-based services to people with a history of sexual violence following their release and transition back to their home community. The role involves conducting monitoring checks at supervised residences and providing other supervision services, including transportation to authorized activities and supervised visits as needed. Hours vary; most are during weekdays, but may include evenings and weekends. Notice is provided for scheduling part-time hours outside usual weekday hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Access to a personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity in interactions with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively and maintain professional boundaries with staff, clients, and other parties.
• Strong decision-making abilities and self-motivation.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and planning skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
• Experience enforcing rules, policies, and procedures.
• Daily access to internet services.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and/or education relating to corrections, criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, security, social services, mental health, behavioral health, or law enforcement.
• Proficiency with automated computer systems and Microsoft Office, especially Word.

Responsibilities

• Obtain schedules and daily task assignments from the Scheduler.
• Transport clients to activities.
• Monitor clients’ attitude, appearance, and behavior.
• Complete required log entries and apartment checklists during each monitoring check.
• Ensure clients follow program rules, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor residences to support the health, safety, and security of clients, the community, and property.
• Document and report client violations to the direct supervisor and DHS.
• Provide informal guidance to clients on daily living activities and independent living skills.
