Reporting to a Correctional Programs Supervisor, this position is responsible for carrying out a caseload of offenders, which involves supportive counseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, and answering and following up on offender questions and problems. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing recommendations to the classification committee, assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinating major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders (such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation), and planning and coordinating transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community. This is a certified position, and employees may be subject to assist in any certified capacity as needed, which includes Custody and Administrative Services.
