About The Position

This position manages program services at Wake Correctional Center located in Raleigh, NC. The Associate Warden of Programs oversees the programs section, which provides a large variety of program services to the offender population, including case management, chaplaincy services, treatment and rehabilitation programs, work release, volunteer programs, and transitional services. In addition, this position also is responsible for establishing operating procedures and standards for all program services. This position is responsible for ongoing training of staff in areas under his/her supervision. The Associate Warden of Programs participates as a member of the Executive Management Team for planning, development and management of the facility. This position may serve as acting Warden in the absence of the Warden.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field and three years of experience in correctional programs management or related work.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
