About The Position

This position is located at Hyde Correctional Institution in Swan Quarter, NC and houses minimum custody male offenders. Specific responsibilities include: • Management of the Programs Services Section, including, but not limited to case management, classification, medical, dental, mental health services, substance abuse programs, community college and educational programs. • Manages community volunteers including the Community Resource Council and assists the various groups. • Serves on the management team and is in the duty officer rotation. In the absence of the Warden and Associate Warden of Custody/Operations this position is responsible for the operations of the facility. • Position will report directly to the Warden of the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of supervisory or management level experience in correctional programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

  • Documented knowledge of supportive counseling or treatment programs
  • Documented knowledge of services available to individuals from the community and other public and private programs
