Correction Enterprise Supervisor II (ViaPath)
About The Position
This Correction Enterprises Supervisor II (CES II) full-time position is based at Correction Enterprises’ production center at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg NC. The position trains and supervises offenders to refurbish, repair and recycle broken tablets for the ViaPath Technologies Company as part of the federal Prison Industries Enhancement Certification Program (PIECP). Position is responsible for ensuring production goals and quality standards are met; ordering raw materials; maintaining a safe, secure and collaborative workplace; communicating with ViaPath management; and ensuring American Correctional Association standards dealing with chemical, tool and key control are strictly adhered to.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of two years of related industry/service experience; or An equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
- Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
Nice To Haves
- Physically capable of handling the loading, shipping, receiving, and storing of a large volume of raw materials and finished goods daily.
- Operate various production equipment for both training and production purposes.
- Prior experience managing or supervising staff.
- Prior experience working with offenders in any capacity.
- Applicants who are already Criminal Justice Standards certified.
