Correction Enterprise Supervisor II (Sewing Plant)
About The Position
This position is classified as a Correction Enterprise Supervisor II and is located at the Mt. View Sewing Plant in Spruce Pine, NC. It reports directly to the Correction Enterprise Manager I. The role is responsible for supervising 65 to 85 offenders and overseeing all aspects of safety, quality, production, and inventory. Mt. View Sewing is a production‑based operation, requiring consistent adherence to established production schedules. The plant is located inside the Mt. View Correctional Facility, so regular communication and coordination with facility staff, and offenders, is essential.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of two years of related industry/service experience OR An equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
- Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
Nice To Haves
- Experience with hands-on sewing equipment & tools. (ex. Machines press snips, etc.)
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Experience order and receiving merchandise
- Supervisory experience with skilled & unskilled workers.
