About The Position

The Corps Program Manager oversees the AmeriCorps and Maryland Service Corps programs at LAYC’s Prince George’s site. The role manages an integrated cohort of approximately 23 members—about 10 AmeriCorps and 13 Maryland Service Corps members—while ensuring each program separately meets its funder’s requirements. The manager recruits, supervises, trains, coaches, and supports members as they deliver academic assistance, enrichment, and community service programming. The position also leads after-school programming at Buck Lodge, William Wirt Middle Schools, and High Point High School, and coordinates summer programming at both school sites. After-school programming runs Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and includes academic support, enrichment, and community engagement. The manager is expected to be present during in-school and after-school components and work closely with Corps members and Afterschool Coordinators. Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required for special events, with advance notice. The fully in-person summer program runs throughout July, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. LAYC empowers youth to transition successfully to adulthood through comprehensive programs addressing social, academic, and career needs. It serves approximately 4,000 individuals annually, supporting academic achievement, healthy behavior, and successful adulthood.
