About The Position

Serves as the primary steward of corporate vehicle assets owned by Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA). Provides strategic leadership for the Corporate Vehicle Operations Team, including workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and succession planning to ensure the organization is positioned to meet future business demands. Prepares annual vehicle forecast and, throughout the year, responds to corporate needs and business influences to ensure the efficient turnover of corporate vehicles. Manages SOA employee purchase and lease programs, interpreting and recommending changes to Corporate Vehicle policies, procedures, and programs. Monitors regional adherence to Corporate Vehicle asset policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • At least 6-8 years of experience Required
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Complete understanding of the Subaru sales structure, including Headquarters functions and processes at Regions, Independent Distributors, and retailer operations such as vehicle order/delivery process, vehicle and accessory pricing, and Regional incentives.
  • In-depth knowledge of Subaru models/equipment, features/benefits, and accessories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expertise in Oracle Order Management (OM), Subaru Allocation Management (SAM), and Subarunet systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a mentor, leader, and subject matter expert for the Corporate Vehicles Operations Team.
  • Leads, manages, and develops team members to achieve their full potential and prepare them for future growth.
  • Maintains responsibility for team members’ achievement of department goals and adherence to department standards.
  • Completes mid-year and annual reviews for staff and provides direction and coaching.
  • Ensures SOA compliance with all relevant motor vehicle, registration, tax, and vehicle-related state laws by working closely with Risk Management, Legal, Tax Departments, and Regional Distribution teams.
  • Manages SOA Test Fleet program and provides oversight for department vehicle fleets at Headquarters and Regional offices.
  • Manages annual forecasting, vehicle ordering, coordinating logistics of vehicle transport and delivery, operations of offsite vehicle storage and delivery facilities, vehicle turnover, and sale at retailers or auction.
  • Provides strategic oversight of post-repurchase lemon law activities and the Corporate Vehicle annual audit process.
  • Manages Employee Vehicle Lease Programs (EVLP), Employee Vehicle Purchase Program, and the Retiree Lease Program.
  • Ensures a positive customer experience for all stakeholders in these programs.
  • Maintains responsibility for compliance with all SOA policies and procedures surrounding these programs.
  • Reviews the operations and efficiency of these programs and recommends changes, amendments, and/or new policies.
  • Responds to escalations and determines when exceptions are warranted.
  • Oversees Corporate Vehicles Operations Team's computer software and hardware requirements by acting as business lead, subject matter expert (SME), and liaison to Information Technology (IT) Department.
  • Oversees the Corporate Vehicles intranet site to ensure current, accurate, and complete information.
  • Ensures appropriate training of staff to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Provides pricing approval for all employee sales.
