About The Position

The Corporate Treasurer provides strategic leadership for the company's treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, investments, debt financing, and financial risk management. This role ensures the organization maintains adequate funding to support operations and growth, oversees banking and lender relationships, leads financing transactions, and develops treasury strategies that enhance financial performance while maintaining strong controls and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in finance and/or cash management functions in a corporate finance or treasury department or in banking operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated ability in managing investments, debt facilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of debt markets – private and public, and cash management and investment portfolio experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel based on the needs of the role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee forecast of cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and funds available for investment
  • Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning
  • Oversee the cash management team, which is responsible for managing excess operating cash and daily liquidity, tracking electronic cash receipts and cash disbursement processing and accounting, and managing daily cash position reconciliation and bank reporting
  • Enhance and manage the corporate direct cash flow forecasting process
  • Serve as the primary contact with investment advisors to ensure alignment with investment policy, recommend funding for enough cash flow, review monthly returns and assess manager performance
  • Review and analyze banking and investment management fees to identify cost reductions
  • Develop appropriate reporting and modelling capabilities required to support short-term and long-term liquidity forecasting needs through indirect modelling working closely with corporate FP&A
  • Maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
  • Maintain and nurture all domestic and global banking relationships
  • Maintain strong communications with lenders and other financial service providers
  • Lead all financing efforts with lenders for Florida Crystals, FCI, ASR and other affiliates or subsidiaries as needed. Efforts will cover structuring and negotiating new credit lines, refinancings, project finance opportunities, capex lending and M&A financing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain subsidiaries’ capital structures consistent with business, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Develop strategic finance initiatives (rating agency presentations, M&A and financing requirements, as applicable) in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the currency and interest rates on the company's cash flows and borrowings, as applicable
  • Complete special projects as assigned for presentation to senior management and external boards
  • Monitor quarterly and annual compliance with loan agreements
