About The Position

Reporting to the U.S. Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and oversight of the U.S. Treasury and Capital Markets team. He /she will actively engage with the U.S. management team and commercial leaders. Additionally, the role will interact and work closely with DLL Group Finance in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, DLL Group Treasury in Dublin, Ireland, and Rabobank North America, in New York, New York, in the furtherance of Group directives and policies. The US Treasurer is expected to be a hands-on self-starter who will be responsible for the treasury management of the DLL US Group and the management of the profit and loss account of the centralized US Treasury Function. He / she will be responsible for executing of the annual US Funding Plan and managing the U.S. treasury processes to maintain liquidity, interest rate, currency and balance sheet risks within limits and in compliance with DLL group risk management policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or quantitative discipline required.
  • 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience in banking, leasing and or other financial services.
  • In depth understanding of capital markets, ABS structuring, treasury and associated risk management areas.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with financial regulators.
  • Excellent management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experienced manager of people across areas of responsibility.

  • Master’s degree in finance, MBA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a hybrid working team (local and remote members) to oversee the day-to-day U.S. treasury operations, responsible for intra-group and external funding programs, and managing interest rate and liquidity risk.
  • Profit and loss accountability including analysis of the results of the US Treasury Function.
  • Evaluate and negotiate pricing and structures of external funding opportunities, including, ABS programs, sale and leasebacks and capital optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee the syndication activity, including the interest rate risk, capital management and profitability impacts.
  • Ensure adherence to DLL global and local treasury, funding and risk management policies. Review policies and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Review and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of interest rate risk mitigation processes.
  • Liquidity optimization of equity.
  • Support team on deal roadshows, rating agency meetings, investor relations, etc.
  • Prepare annual US Funding Plan in cooperation with DLL Group Treasury and Rabobank.
  • Support North America on any M&A activities / portfolio acquisitions.
  • Ascertain and maintain the completeness, accuracy and inventory of: Banking partners, Funding and lending agreements, Securitization servicer reporting, Authorized signatories.
  • Conduct analysis of U.S. balance sheet to enhance risk weighted asset classification and capital impact.
  • Cash management optimization, maintaining relations with banking providers and overseeing periodic service reviews.
  • Support DLL’s US commercial team with product development and vendor program funding structures and negotiations.
  • Represent DLL in routine and impromptu meetings with regulators, including the US Federal Reserve.
  • Treasury risk reporting to DLL Group Treasury.
  • Develop and implement liquidity and stress testing models to meet corporate and regulatory expectations globally and locally.
  • Working capital optimization within the consolidated US entities.
  • Stakeholder management with DLL Group and Rabobank.
  • Liaise with tax department from time-to-time for the execution of tax planning strategies.
  • Chair of DLL US ALCO, and member of the Rabobank NA US ALCO.
