About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director, the Corporate Trainer / EAP Counselor IV develops, implements, and maintains engaging trainings and presentations for corporate clients statewide. This role collaborates closely with employers to ensure trainings align with their culture, values, and policies, while also providing assessment and short‑term counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including substance‑use services. Responsibilities include consulting with employers on workplace issues, coordinating and representing WorkLife Hawaii at open enrollments, benefit fairs, and health fairs, maintaining and upgrading training materials and equipment, and delivering additional corporate services as assigned. This position is ideal for a professional passionate about training, workplace wellness, and making a meaningful impact across Hawaiʻi.

Requirements

  • Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
  • Master's degree in human services
  • Over two years, up to and including four years.
  • Knowledgeable of and experience with developing and conducting trainings/presentations in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge and experience completing assessments and providing short-term, solution-focused counseling to individuals, couples and families.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications used for trainings and presentations (i.e. PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel) and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail (i.e. editing, proofreading) and customer service oriented written and verbal communication
  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job.
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes.
