About The Position

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Trainer to lead new employees towards successful integration into their enterprise job functions. Trainers are instrumental in building and educating a team of intelligent contributors who can add value to our clients’ businesses and build deep roots in the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school degree and 2+ years of experience in training methods and practices, writing, communications development or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of training techniques, practices and methodology.
  • Knowledge of organizational learning, training programs, employee training, and facilitation.
  • Strong customer service, problem solving, analysis and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid presentation and people skills.
  • Must have good understanding of technology, time management and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to conduct and facilitate training courses.
  • Ability to evaluate, track and analyze training effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college and experience in course development preferred.
  • Banking background preferred.
  • Solid knowledge and/or hands on experience with bank teller and new accounts procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates in-person and virtual training for primarily retail banking roles, including onboarding, systems, products, and sales.
  • Maintains an understanding of bank priorities and applies that insight to ensure training delivery is relevant and aligned to business needs.
  • Coordinates training logistics, including scheduling, materials, equipment, and related resources.
  • Partners with managers to support consistent and high-quality onboarding experiences for new employees.
  • Supports evaluation of onboarding and training effectiveness and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Tracks, measures, and evaluates the progress and performance of those participating in training courses.
  • Develops subject matter expertise and provides recommendations for curriculum updates, including identifying needed changes to policies and procedures.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal partners through clear and timely communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
