About The Position

Provide customized training to corporate clients on an on-call basis, particularly in the areas of leadership, management, supervisory, and customer service skills. Deliver training based on the client’s needs and objectives. This role involves assessing training needs, customizing content, and delivering instruction in soft skills. The trainer will also update course content, maintain familiarity with curriculum, and seek ways to improve instruction. Responsibilities include attending meetings, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to procedures for ongoing consideration for assignments. The job requires the ability to train in a corporate environment and interact professionally with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area.
  • 1 to 2 relevant certifications (Leadership, Customer Service, etc.) required.
  • 6 years of demonstrated corporate training/subject-related industry/technical experience required.
  • Able to use current technology.
  • Able to speak, read and write the English language effectively.
  • Able to meet deadlines for reports and other required paperwork.
  • Able to customize training content and format to fit the client’s objectives.
  • Able to produce professional quality handouts and presentations.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication.
  • Must be comfortable training in a corporate environment with the ability to interact professionally with corporate clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education teaching, or corporate training experience preferred.
  • 4 years HCC experience conducting corporate training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and/or consulting to corporate clients as needed.
  • Assess training needs for clients in conjunction with Corporate Training and Development staff.
  • Customize training content and format to fit the client’s objectives.
  • Provide instruction to clients in the areas of soft skills, such as leadership, supervisory skills, etc.
  • Deliver training in flexible schedule formats, using relevant training materials such as textbooks, handouts, class exercises, or assessment tools.
  • Continue to update and revise course content and teaching methodology to maintain currency and relevance.
  • Maintain familiarity with current curriculum, materials, teaching aids, and techniques related to courses within the discipline and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
  • Actively seek ways to improve instruction.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with the client and Corporate Training and Development staff as requested including Adjunct Faculty Orientation.
  • Maintain accurate records, including class schedules, student rosters, attendance reports, and grade rosters.
