About The Position

The Corporate Strategy Manager is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for driving priority strategic initiatives and supporting executive decision-making across Tandem’s most important growth areas, including pharmacy channel strategy, key product launches and commercialization (e.g., Mobi Tubeless), and expansion into Type 2 Diabetes. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategy & Planning, this role translates enterprise priorities into actionable plans, leads critical workstreams, and delivers the insights and recommendations that shape ELT and Board-level decisions. This role ultimately rolls up to the Chief Strategy and Product Officer and operates at the intersection of Strategy, Product, Corporate Development, Business Development, and User Experience. This positioning enables the Corporate Strategy Manager to act as a cross-functional force multiplier, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution across the Tandem’s core initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in strategy consulting (MBB or top-tier firm), corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment. 5 years of experience required without MBB or top-tier firm background.
  • BA/BS in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, science, or related field with a strong analytical foundation, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex, ambiguous business questions and translate analyses into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market sizing; ability to independently build and own robust models.
  • Proven ability to synthesize diverse inputs (data, market dynamics, stakeholder perspectives) into fact-based recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead workstreams, build analytical frameworks, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly develop working knowledge across the intersection of medical devices, healthcare delivery, digital health, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver against tight timelines.
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority; strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of ownership and a “get stuff done” mindset; comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Strong business judgment, high integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to develop executive-ready materials with clarity and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Leads high-priority strategic workstreams across core focus areas, including pharmacy channel strategy, product launches and commercialization (e.g., Mobi Tubeless), and Type 2 Diabetes expansion; own end-to-end problem solving from framing through recommendation and execution support.
  • Develops clear, fact-based analyses to inform decision-making, including financial modeling, market sizing, and competitive assessment; translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders across Market Access, Commercial, Product, Marketing, Corporate Development, User Experience, and other functions to drive alignment and advance key initiatives; operate as a strategic thought partner and “force multiplier” across a portfolio of priorities.
  • Supports ELT and Board-level decision-making by structuring complex problems, synthesizing inputs from subject matter experts, and delivering concise, executive-ready materials.
  • Defines key performance metrics tied to strategic initiatives; tracks progress, surfaces risks, and helps drive accountability to outcomes.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of industry dynamics, including competitive moves, channel evolution, and broader market trends; proactively identifies implications for Tandem’s strategy.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable company policies and regulatory requirements, including Privacy/HIPAA.
