About The Position

SquareTrade is looking for exceptional individuals to join our Corporate Strategy Team as a 2026 Summer Corporate Strategy Intern. The Corporate Strategy Team at SquareTrade is responsible for identifying and pursuing the most critical growth initiatives for our company. We do this by applying management consulting frameworks, deep market research, and close collaboration with cross-functional leadership. In this role, you will be a core member of the team and given autonomy to develop high-impact growth initiatives grounded in research-backed findings. You will work closely with the Director and SVP of Corporate Strategy, with cross-functional exposure to leaders of Business Development, Growth Strategy, Product Management, and Supply Chain Strategy & Operations. Your projects will have real impact, with the goal of identifying opportunities to unlock transformational growth in our industry, with initiatives spanning product, channel, and category strategy, international expansion, and M&A.

Requirements

  • MBA candidates preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, distributed leadership, and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical skills to drive fact-based decision making (previous roles in quantitative analysis a plus)
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data, new processes and innovative ideas
  • A “go-getter” with strong record of rolling up sleeves and tactical execution.
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a US based college or university degree program
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.7
  • Must be available to start on internship cohort start date and complete an 8 – 10 week program
  • Previous work/volunteer experience or relevant coursework in identified area(s) of interest
  • Can work in the US without employment sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to evaluate new growth opportunities across products, channels, categories, and geographies
  • Build quantitative analyses and financial models to assess the impact, feasibility, and ROI of strategic initiatives
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams including Business Development, Product, Growth, Operations, and Supply Chain to gather inputs and pressure‑test recommendations
  • Synthesize complex data into clear, executive‑ready insights and presentations for senior leadership
  • Contribute to M&A, BD, and strategic partnership evaluations, including target screening, pitch deck development, pipeline management, contract development, and strategic rationale development
  • Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify disruptive risks and white‑space opportunities
  • Support execution planning by defining key milestones, success metrics, and risks for approved initiatives
  • Own at least one end‑to‑end strategic project with autonomy, delivering research‑backed recommendations with measurable business impact
