Corporate Strategist

PrecoaPortland, OR
Onsite

About The Position

Help Shape the Decisions That Drive Growth. You are someone who naturally sees patterns, asks sharper questions than everyone else in the room, and pushes past surface-level answers to understand what actually drives a business forward. You want work that stretches your thinking, gives you visibility into meaningful decisions, and allows you to influence outcomes that matter. As a Corporate Strategist at Precoa, you operate as part of an internal strategy team that partners directly with executive leadership and cross-functional departments to solve high-impact business problems. This is not a role where you hand over slides and disappear. You will help shape decisions from the earliest stages of ambiguity through implementation and operational execution. If you enjoy ownership, intellectual challenge, and working through complex situations with a variety of people - you’ll thrive here!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, finance, analytics, or similar analytical environments
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong Excel modeling and financial analysis skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to retrieve and analyze data independently
  • Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Tableau, Python, or R is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead work that directly impacts the business
  • Identify and drive a variety of strategic questions that matter most to Precoa’s future. One month you may evaluate the economics of a new partnership. Next, you may help determine whether an existing program should scale, pivot, or stop entirely.
  • Build analysis that creates clarity. Develop financial models, business cases, and structured analyses that help leaders make confident decisions. You’ll use Excel, SQL, and data-driven thinking to quantify tradeoffs, test assumptions, and uncover what could change an outcome. The work is analytical, but the goal is always practical action.
  • Work across the business, not inside a silo. Partner with leaders across departments to move initiatives from concept to execution. Success in this role requires strong influence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust across teams.
  • Develop deep business and operational acumen. Gain exposure to the operational systems, economics, and strategic priorities that drive a growing national business. You’ll build a working understanding of how decisions impact the field, partnerships, operations, and long-term company growth.
  • Operate with autonomy and ownership. Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining depth, quality, and follow-through.

Benefits

  • Competitive exempt salary based on experience
  • 18 days PTO and 10 paid holidays annually
  • Minimum 6-weeks parental leave
  • Health, Dental, and Vision benefits
