About The Position

Check out this fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Staff Accountant at IST Management Services. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and assisting with audits and reporting. Candidates must have experience using Sage Intacct. During the monthly close, you'll have responsibilities helping out in many aspects of general accounting tasks to back-up the department. We’re seeking candidates who possess strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate setting. If you like to collaborate, plan, and execute solutions – this is the role for you. 2-4 years of general accounting experience preferably in a multi-entity or service-based environment is required. PLEASE NOTE: This position is on-site for the first 90 days for training purposes. Then we will accommodate one to two days a week WFH. M-F 9-6 or 8-5. Location: IST Management's corporate office headquarters is located in the heart of East Atlanta! Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 2–4 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or service-based environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations)
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or QuickBooks Enterprise (or similar ERP)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and initiative

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and inter-company allocations
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely financial reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions when needed
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate expense coding and documentation
  • Assist with annual financial audits and provide supporting schedules and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
