Corporate Senior Associate (4-5 Years) - ECVC
About The Position
WilmerHale, a leading international law firm with 1,000 lawyers across 12 offices in the US and Europe, is seeking associates with four to five years of post-JD experience in emerging companies and venture financing for its Palo Alto office. The firm is committed to quality, excellence, and recruiting top legal talent, offering a highly competitive compensation package. The Corporate practice specifically needs associates experienced in advising clients on business formation, equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and guiding emerging companies through growth and financing stages. The role involves working closely with venture capital firms on investments and portfolio company matters, requiring strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage transaction teams. Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring junior associates is also expected.
Requirements
- Four to five years of post-JD experience in emerging companies and venture financing
- Juris Doctor
- Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based
- Strong analytical skills
- Willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on business formation, equity financings, mergers and acquisitions
- Advising emerging companies and startups through all stages of growth and financing
- Work closely with venture capital firms on investments and portfolio company matters
- Manage teams on transactions
