About The Position

This role serves as both HUB's central program management and intelligence function and the primary on-the-ground security presence at HUB's Chicago headquarters. It requires close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, HR, Operations, Events, and regional leadership across the US and Canada.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience (5+ years), including: Events security management and security advance work

  • Security project management
  • Enterprise-level program management or intelligence/monitoring function experience (VSOC, Ontic, or comparable platform)
  • Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field, or equivalent military/police academy training/experience, or comparable alternative transferable professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and continuously improve HUB's enterprise safety and security programs — Workplace Violence Prevention, Travel Risk Management — and associated policies, protocols, and toolkits.
  • Lead program rollouts end-to-end: stakeholder communications, training delivery, implementation tracking across business units and regions.
  • Draft and maintain policies, SOPs, toolkits, and employee-facing communications across program domains.
  • Manage multiple concurrent program initiatives and security projects, on time and within budget.
  • Serve as a primary intelligence analyst, monitoring the threat environment across HUB's footprint using OSINT, Ontic, and other available platforms.
  • Manage, monitor, and log incidents in HUB's Virtual Security Operations Center (VSOC), with Ontic as system of record.
  • Co-anchor HUB's 24/7 security hotline as a primary point of contact for employee-reported security concerns, threat referrals, and urgent incident intake (US and Canada).
  • Produce threat intelligence products, situational awareness briefings, and incident summaries for the CSSO.
  • Support behavioral threat assessment case management with HR, Legal, and regional leadership on threat referrals and intervention planning.
  • Primary security presence across HUB's downtown Chicago locations; maintain site visits, relationships with building security, property managers, and local law enforcement, and situational awareness of the local threat environment.
  • Day-to-day security support for Chicago-based C-suite executives: advance work for local engagements, secure ground transportation coordination, protective presence during elevated-risk periods.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive assistants supporting senior leaders.
  • Lead security planning and execution for internal meetings, leadership summits, and functional events at Chicago locations, area venues, and select large-scale events in other cities.
  • Conduct security advances: site surveys, venue assessments, coordination with local law enforcement and venue security teams.
  • Collaborate with event management and facilities teams for discreet, seamless security integration.
  • Serve as point of contact for hotels and event venues hosting HUB employee groups.
  • Design and deliver virtual and in-person training across safety and security domains: workplace violence prevention, travel risk awareness, active assailant response.
  • Represent HUB Safety & Security at employee summits, regional meetings, and cross-functional working groups.
  • Build effective working relationships with regional leaders, HR business partners, legal counsel, and external partners to advance program adoption and compliance.
  • Participate in safety, security, and resilience-focused professional associations and conferences (Ontic, ATAP, BEPP, ASIS International).
  • Pursue and maintain relevant credentialing through ASIS International, ATAP, and the Events Safety Alliance or similar.
