About The Position

THE ROLE Truxton is looking to add to its security team. The Corporate Safety Officer is responsible for the day-to-day forward facing security operations of the bank. The officer will work directly with banking personnel and customers alike. It is essential that the officer has strong interpersonal skills and is motivated and confident in his ability to safely handle any situation that may arise. The officer will work alongside other security professionals and report directly to the Director of Security. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Protecting the bank’s customers, employees, and assets from physical threats, illegal activity, fire and other safety issues Responding to emergencies such as robberies, fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters in order to ensure the safety of those inside the bank. They may start evacuations, provide first aid, or work with law enforcement Monitoring CCTV cameras and other surveillance systems to identify potential threats or irregularities Investigating security incidents; may need to work with law enforcement as a liaison between bank employees and various authorities Documenting incidents and observations and notifying necessary personnel Interacting with visitors and employees in a professional manner and addressing concerns Assisting with security and first aid training for Truxton colleagues Requirements Attributes and Abilities Shows strong personal initiative and has a proactive personality Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Problem solver, able to work proactively and use intuition Able to remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times Detail-oriented and able to remain patient and calm under pressure Physically capable of responding to situations requiring physical exertion or confrontation Ability to work well within a team and with others Experience and Skills Law enforcement or military experience is a plus, but not required.
