About The Position

The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing safety programs, including OSHA compliance, DOT management, environmental oversight, and accident investigations. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in managing staff, and the ability to handle escalated claims and insurance renewals. Travel is required for this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of strong safety experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervising staff.
  • Experience leading OSHA visits and follow-up responses.
  • Experience with "Train the trainer" for monthly safety meetings.
  • Experience with DOT management.
  • Experience with environmental oversight.
  • Experience with accident investigation.
  • Experience with management of escalated claims.
  • Experience with benefit management.
  • Experience with all types of insurance renewals (property, fleet, business interruption).
  • Experience with drug screening programs management (DOT, Pre-employment, Post accident & fit for duty).

Nice To Haves

  • HR & Safety management in Mexico.
  • Previous collaboration with Executive and legal teams on acquisition projects.
  • Experience with Non-Compete agreements with employees & contractors.
  • Ability to complete customer surveys relating to PSC policy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead OSHA visits and follow-up responses.
  • Conduct "Train the trainer" sessions for monthly safety meetings.
  • Manage DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Provide environmental oversight.
  • Conduct accident investigations.
  • Manage escalated claims.
  • Oversee benefit management.
  • Handle all types of insurance renewals (property, fleet, business interruption).
  • Manage drug screening programs (DOT, Pre-employment, Post-accident & fit for duty).
  • Lead employee complaint investigations.
  • Provide written responses to employment law challenges.
  • Manage RIF and layoff processes.
  • Experience with AAP (Affirmative Action Plan).
  • Oversee handbook revisions and policy changes.
