Corporate & Retail Events Specialist
About The Position
As the Specialist for Corporate & Retail Events, you’ll be the go-to person for planning and executing internal meetings and events—whether in-person, hybrid, or virtual. You’ll manage logistics from start to finish, support larger-scale events, and collaborate with teams to create memorable experiences. If you love juggling details, working with people, and bringing events to life, this is your chance to shine. This is a hybrid role, meaning you’ll work some days on-site at our Best Buy location and others remotely. Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in meeting or event planning
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working independently and with a team
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cvent
- Graphic design skills
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution for small to mid-sized internal events
- Coordinate logistics like registration, catering, transportation, and AV support
- Support large-scale events as part of a collaborative planning team
- Build strong relationships with vendors and internal partners
- Stay curious—explore new tech and best practices to keep events fresh
- Travel for events and occasionally work evenings or weekends
