About The Position

Upward Bound House seeks a highly motivated development professional to support and grow corporate partnerships and fundraising events. This role is integral to expanding UBH’s philanthropic revenue by cultivating corporate relationships, managing sponsorships, and executing high-impact fundraising events. The Corporate Giving & Events Manager works cross-functionally with Development, Communications, and Leadership to strengthen donor engagement, elevate UBH’s brand visibility, and deliver meaningful experiences that inspire long-term investment in our mission. This position requires a proactive relationship builder, strong project manager, and results-driven fundraiser who understands both revenue strategy and donor stewardship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship sales, or event fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising or revenue targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing fundraising events from concept to execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for homelessness and commitment to UBH’s mission and programs.
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set and manage priorities, and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Proficiency with office technology and information systems (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), appropriate web-based applications and donor databases, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to work productively with a variety of people; collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a corporate fundraising strategy with annual revenue targets.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors and partners.
  • Secure sponsorships for signature events and organizational initiatives.
  • Develop customized sponsorship proposals and partnership packages.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective corporate donors.
  • Track corporate engagement and revenue in CRM.
  • Partner with leadership on high-level corporate solicitations.
  • Lead planning and execution of fundraising events (galas, community events, campaigns, corporate engagement events).
  • Establish event revenue goals and manage budgets.
  • Secure event sponsorships, auction items, and in-kind donations.
  • Oversee vendor management, timelines, run-of-show, and logistics.
  • Ensure strong donor cultivation and stewardship touch points before, during, and after events.
  • Conduct post-event analysis including ROI, revenue performance, and engagement metrics.
  • Meet or exceed annual corporate and event fundraising goals.
  • Develop quarterly revenue projections and pipeline reports.
  • Monitor cost-to-raise-a-dollar and event profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve event revenue efficiency and donor conversion.
  • Ensure timely follow-up, recognition, and reporting to corporate partners.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer engagement opportunities.
  • Develop impact reports for corporate sponsors.
  • Maintain consistent communication and visibility with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Development, Finance, and Program teams.
  • Align sponsorship messaging with organizational priorities.
  • Support grant alignment where corporate partnerships intersect with program initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure strong brand presence at events.
