About The Position

TJX Canada is seeking a Corporate Responsibility Specialist for an 18-month contract. This role is responsible for leading the execution of donation programs, community initiatives, and fundraising efforts. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and charitable partners to support TJX Canada’s Corporate Responsibility objectives. This position offers an opportunity to build strong relationships, drive positive social impact, and contribute to programs that strengthen communities and support important causes. Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in marketing, administration, or not-for-profit community-based support programs and initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence business partners to prioritize activities and resources.
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor.
  • Strong interviewing, negotiating, listening, and information gathering skills.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions.
  • Ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to a changing work environment to make effective decisions.
  • Ability to revise communication strategies to support the vision of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements internal and external marketing and communication plans to increase awareness among Associates and Customers.
  • Serves as the lead contact for Stores, Regional, and DC teams to support local fundraising events.
  • Collects, evaluates, and coordinates approval for internal and external charity requests, ensuring alignment with Corporate Charitable support guidelines.
  • Determines the type of charitable donation (cash, gift cards, merchandise samples) and coordinates funding/donation requests to approved charities.
  • Manages grantmaking software applications as necessary.
  • Responsible for budget reconciliation for the CR team.
  • Maintains ongoing partnerships and collaboration with Charity and Non-Profit partners, Merchandise/Samples, Finance, IT, Translation, Legal, Store Operations, Internal Communications, and Workplace Services to support CR initiatives.
