The basic purpose of the Power Equipment Corporate Rental Manager is to oversee, guide, coordinate and aggressively promote the rental of Certified Rental® machines and Traditional Rental machines through field rental representatives, rental coordinators and field sales representatives in the metro areas and field sales representatives in the smaller markets of Tennessee, Arkansas and Northern Mississippi. This manager has ultimate responsibility to evaluate the adequacy coverage and performance and has the authority to make changes necessary to assure that coverage occurs. With respect to the field sales representatives, this individuals authority is limited to reassignment of the rental responsibility and related compensation to a rental only representative. Regarding rental coordinators, this individual will guide and direct daily activities of the rental coordinators to maximize profitable revenue growth, customer friendly counter operations and efficient rental fleet processes. As this position has responsibility for all of Tennessee, Arkansas and Northern Mississippi, it is reasonable to expect travel at least 50% of the time with the predominant travel to the largest metro markets. Identification of key customers and management of the development and maintenance of customer relationships with accounts having $100,000 or greater Rent-To-Rent potential is critical to the success of this position. This will be accomplished through personal contact and relationship with the customer principals, regular customer office visits, individually designed strategic approaches to these customers and active participation in appropriate trade associations. This position must also stay abreast of each customers business activity and know the intricacies of by whom and how rental decisions are made. Having Certified Rental® considered a major rental player in the industry is key to acceptance of the rental products and services we offer and represent. To that end the incumbent is expected to participate in local building contractor association meetings and in state highway association meetings in a meaningful way. This manager must have an in-depth understanding of Bramcos rental policies and how those policies coordinate and support our companys sales initiatives. This knowledge and understanding, together with an in-depth understanding of our customers will result in development of rental strategies to be implemented by working directly with the rental representatives and indirectly through field sales representatives. Although the incumbent has the primary responsibility for development of rental strategies, this position also requires regular communication with the VP of Sales, Regional Sales Managers for consultation on developing of these strategies particularly as it relates to accounts having $100,000 or greater RTR rental potential. This manager is expected to be cordial and respectful to our suppliers but the primary responsibility for maintenance of relationships with suppliers rests with others in the company. Many administrative matters will be handled by others in the company to enable this individual to focus exclusively on rental revenue generation. Equipment procurement, financing, maintenance and decision on on when to dispose of equipment are the responsibility of other personnel. The Power sales and rental and sales administration functions are responsible for sales of disposable fleet and contract processing, respectively. The Power Equipment Credit Department has the responsibility to provide adequate credit for superior performance in the rental segment. The incumbent is expected to be contributory to all the other functions but is charged primarily with revenue generation. This position obtains results from the communication and coordination of the rental process with the rental representatives and the field sales representatives, rental coordinators, Regional Sales Managers, Bramco VP of Rental. Generally this position has full responsibility for day-to-day guidance of the rental representatives, rental coordinators and indirect responsibility for guidance of the rental activities of the field sales force. Other authority is granted through overall pre-established guidelines and is only limited wherein it possesses conflict with those policies. This position has direct responsibility for rental personnel and is influential in changing corporate policy but only has involvement in changing corporate policy on an advisory basis. This positions authority with respect to field sales representatives is limited to reassignment of rental revenue generation to a rental only representative. This positions primary relationship with outside organizations is with all current and potential customers in the Power service area and their associations in general.
