About The Position

The Corporate Relations Coordinator position is responsible for assisting in developing and managing corporate partnerships and relationships to expand the organization's funding base and support services. The successful candidate will create strategic initiatives that increase community engagement and foster long-term relationships with corporate partnerships. This position will be responsible for providing impactful educational, volunteer and in-kind engagement opportunities for both existing and new corporate partners. This position is also responsible for effectively and efficiently tracking companies as they progress through the requirements of becoming a Corporate Hero. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the local philanthropic landscape. Manage the Corporate Heroes program and assist with third-party fundraising events. Develop and promote strategic corporate giving campaigns, including researching, cultivating, and stewarding/engaging corporations whose giving priorities are in line with Genesis’ mission. Facilitate corporate sponsorships, volunteer opportunities, educational events, third party fundraising events and in-kind donation drives. Work to grow the number of Corporate Heroes both in monetary amounts raised annually as well as a steady increase in number of new companies that become Corporate Heroes. Assist with other team members to provide meaningful and impactful opportunities for companies progressing along the Corporate Hero track to support the organization. Support the fundraising events by securing corporate sponsorships and increasing the number of corporate partners who attend these events. Attend corporate networking events to represent organization and promote partnership opportunities. Input donor data into Raiser’s Edge in a consistent and timely manner. Provide outreach education/training to local companies and organizations regarding domestic violence and how to get involved and support Genesis. Help identify funding opportunities by seeking out potential partners and strategically generating restricted and unrestricted contributions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or another related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in corporate relations, fundraising, or partnership development, preferably in a nonprofit setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbally.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships effectively
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the local philanthropic landscape.
  • Previous experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database preferred.
  • Experience in Canva a plus.
