CORPORATE RECRUITER-Telecommunications | Utility Construction | Infrastructure
About The Position
Cannon is growing rapidly and seeking a high-performing recruiter with expertise in telecommunications, utility construction, engineering, and field operations. This role is crucial for building teams, creating talent pipelines, and scaling a company that is actively developing critical infrastructure in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting in fast-paced construction, telecom, fiber, or utility environments. The recruiter will be responsible for filling roles such as Fiber Splicer Technicians, OSP Laborers, Utility Superintendents, Electricians, Project Managers, Telecom Foremen, Drafters & Designers, Fiber Construction Crews, Engineers, Operations Leadership, and Skilled Trades & Field Operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within: Telecommunications, Utility construction, Infrastructure
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong sourcing and talent acquisition skills
- Experience recruiting technical, field, and leadership roles
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume hiring needs
Nice To Haves
- Experience with recruiting for fiber-optic, OSP, utility, or telecommunications teams
- Experience with recruiting in construction and government contracting environments
- Experience with workforce development and skilled-trades recruiting
- Recruiting certifications such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or AIRS (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to onboarding
- Build pipelines for hard-to-fill field and technical roles
- Partner directly with leadership and hiring managers
- Attend job fairs, industry events, and workforce outreach programs
- Help shape recruiting strategy during rapid company growth
